Top-seeded Notre Dame College got first half goals from Magail Heaps and Kathrine Beattie and held Shepherd to just one shot on goal in a 2-0 win over the Rams on Saturday afternoon at Duvall-Rosier Field.

The Falcons now advance to face West Virginia Wesleyan on Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Mountain East Conference finals.

NDC (16-1-0) scored its first goal in the 32nd minute when Heaps headed in Karla DiJohn's corner kick. The Falcons tacked on another in the 43rd minute when Beattie handled a misplayed ball by the Shepherd defense and slotted by the keeper for the score.

Goalkeeper Kristy Kolschetzky and the Falcon defense produced her 14th shutout of the season as the Falcons limited the Rams to six shots.

Shepherd finishes its season with a record of 7-9-3.

Kristi Dalton drove a shot into the lower portion of the net to lift West Virginia Wesleyan to a 2-1 victory over Charleston in the Mountain East Conference semifinals on Saturday.

The Bobcats (12-4-2) scored first in the game in the 24th minute when Rachel Ritchey headed down a corner kick from Abbey Lindbland. UC's Holly Bigg got the goal back in the 41st minute when Kimberly D'Angelo dribbled to the endline and centered it to Holly Bigg who finished it for the score.

Charleston (9-7-2) pressed late but could not get the equalizing goal.
