DANIELS, W.Va. -- Notre Dame College shot the lowest round of the tournament on the final day to secure the 2014 Mountain East Conference Women's Golf Championship.
The Falcons entered the final day with a two-shot lead over Wheeling Jesuit, and closed out the tournament with a team score of 330. NDC was led was led by Christi Bilas led the team carding a 77 on the final 18, followed by Michiko Smith (82), Rachel Williamson (84) and Brianna Stokes (87). Notre Dame won the championship with a three-day total of 1,006.
Wheeling Jesuit finished runner-up with a score of 1,023, followed by West Virginia Wesleyan (1,042), Charleston (1,050) and West Liberty (1,077). Urbana finished sixth (1,089), and Glenville State (1,145), UVa-Wise (1,171) and Fairmont State (1,229) rounded out the field.
Wheeling Jesuit junior Kasey Frazier took medalist honors for the second-consecutive season. She carded a 77 on the final day for a three-day score of 229. UC's Kelli Garrett was runner-up with a score of 239, followed by Notre Dame's Michiko Smith in third with a score of 240. Bilas and Wheeling Jesuit's Bridget Lynn tied for fifth with a score of 243.
