SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio
-- Alex DeFilippo scored with less than two minutes to lift Notre Dame College to a 1-0 win over West Virginia Wesleyan in the Mountain East Conference Tournament finals.

The win gave Notre Dame College (14-2-2) the MEC regular season and tournament championships and avenged last year's loss to the Bobcats in the final. West Virginia Wesleyan slipped to 12-3-2 on the year. The NCAA Tournament field will be announced on Monday night on 7 p.m. on NCAA.com.

The two teams played evenly throughout the match that looked destined for overtime before Maranda Melton found DeFilippo in the 89th minute for the score. The Falcons were then able to bleed the clock for the remainder of the game to claim the victory.

NDC's Samantha Shoemaker stopped all five shots she faced to record the shutout. Bobcat keeper Lauren Duncan also made five saves in the match.

Shoemaker, DeFilippo, Alexis Manoa and Kathrine Beattie were named to the all-tournament team. West Virginia Wesleyan's Collette Biondi, Rachel Ritchey and Abbey Lindblad also earned a spot on the all-tournament team, along with Shepherd's Lexi Vondrak and Kelsey N. Smith and Charleston's Holly Bigg and Ivey Nucilli.
