CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The top four seeds were victorious in the first round of the Mountain East Conference Men's Tennis Tournament on Friday at Schoenbaum Tennis Courts.

Top-seeded Charleston defeated West Virginia State, 5-0. West Virginia Wesleyan blanked Fairmont State 5-0, and Shepherd handled UVa-Wise 5-0. Concord was victorious over West Liberty, 5-1. 

Shepherd and West Virginia Wesleyan will play at 11 a.m. on Saturday, followed by Charleston against Concord at 2 p.m.
