SU Holds Lead After Day 2

DANIELS, W.Va. -- Shepherd maintained its first round lead with a second day score of 303 to lead the Mountain East Conference Tournament the Cobb Course at Glade Springs.

The Rams (605) are six shots better than Charleston (611), and 15 shots ahead of West Liberty (620) and Notre Dame (620).

Shepherd's Ryan Crabtree kept his share of the individual lead with a 70 (-2) for a two-day score of 144. The best round of the tournament came from NDC's Brian Bir who posted a 68 (-4) on six birdies and two bogeys on the day to share the lead with Crabtree. Glenville State's Travis Covert is in third four shots back, and three players (Matthew Iceton, Thibaut Carmignano, Viktor Pustwo) are six shots back.

The final round of the tournament continues tomorrow morning.
