West Virginia State's Brittany Franco enters her junior season leading one of the top programs in the region. Last season, Franco played mostly at No. 1 singles and went 14-8 on the year. She also teamed with Andreea Slusarciuc at No. 1 doubles and posted a record of 16-4.

Franco, a native of Deerfield Beach, Fla., helped WVSU to a 14-5 overall record and a perfect 7-0 mark in Mountain East play. She led the Yellow Jackets to an NCAA Tournament appearance and a final No. 48 ranking by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA). 

WVSU will open play in 2014 on Friday, Sept. 12, on the road against Shepherd.
